Community Wildfire Protection Plans

 The Borough-wide and community-specific Community Wildfire Protections Plans (CWPP) listed below were developed for the Denali Borough by Bintel, Inc. with assistance from the State of Alaska Division of Forestry & Fire Protection (AK-DOF), Ahtna, Denali National Park & Preserve (DNP), Tri-Valley Volunteer Fire Department (TVVFD), McKinley Volunteer Fire Department (MVFD), Anderson Volunteer Fire Department (AVFD), Cantwell Volunteer Fire Department (CVFD) and Clear Space Force Station Fire Department (CSFSFD).

This collaborative and inclusive effort identifies and prioritizes areas for hazard reduction and recommends mitigation methods to improve fire survivability of people, property and the environment in the residential areas of the Borough and recommends measures to reduce ignitability of structures throughout the areas addressed by the plans.
