DENALI BOROUGH, ALASKA

RESOLUTION NO. 91-10

A RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING THAT THE RAILBELT SCHOOL DISTRICT ADEQUATELY FUND THEIR MAINTENANCE PROGRAM.

WHEREAS, the Denali Borough will assume education powers from the Railbelt School District within two years of its incorporation; and

WHEREAS, the Denali Borough will receive the real property currently in the control of the Railbelt School District; and

WHEREAS, the Denali Borough will be charged with the responsibility of maintaining that real property; and

WHEREAS, the Railbelt School District maintenance budget provides for a significant decrease of funding from previous years; and

WHEREAS, this decrease in funding will have an adverse effect on the property that the Borough will be receiving.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Denali Borough Assembly request that the Railbelt School District provide funding for the adequate maintenance of the real property of the Railbelt School District until such property is transferred to the Denali Borough.
