AN ORDINANCE AMENDING COMPENSATION

OF ASSEMBLY MEMBERS.

BE IT ENACTED by the Assembly of the Denali Borough, Alaska that:

Section 1. Classification.

This ordinance is of a general and permanent nature.

Section 2. Chapter 5, Section 5 amended.

Section 5 of Chapter 5 of the Denali Borough Code of Ordinances is

hereby amended as follows:

Assembly members may receive compensation at the rate of $50 (fifty dollars) per month. [for each regular meeting of the assembly attended.] The assembly may change this by ordinance. An increase in compensation shall not take effect until the Assembly meeting following the regular election after the ordinance has been adopted. Per diem payments or reimbursements for expenses are not compensation under this section.

Section 3. Effective date.

This ordinance becomes effective upon adoption by the Denali

Borough Assembly and signature of the Mayor.
