ORDINANCE NO. 96-16

AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A

PERMANENT SITE FOR A DENALI BOROUGH LANDFILL.

BE IT ENACTED by the Assembly of the Denali Borough, Alaska that:

Section 1. Classification. This ordinance is of a general and permanent nature.

Section 2. Purpose. The purpose of this ordinance is to establish a landfill site for the residents of the Denali Borough.

Section 3. Geographic location.

The Denali Borough will pursue the Clear site for a municipal landfill contingent upon the Borough’s receipt of a letter from the Anderson City Council relinquishing all present and future claims in land selections, and jurisdiction over this site. If this letter is not received at the Denali Borough office by 3:00 p.m. September 19, 1996 the Rex Bridge site will automatically be the selected site.

Section 4. Effective Date. This ordinance becomes effective upon adoption by the Denali Borough Assembly and signature of the Mayor.
