DENALI BOROUGH, ALASKA

RESOLUTION NO. 94-29

A RESOLUTION REQUESTING CAPITAL FUNDING THROUGH THE STATE OF ALASKA, VILLAGE SAFE WATER PROGRAM.

WHEREAS, The Assembly, is the governing body of the Denali Borough in Healy, Alaska and

WHEREAS, The Assembly desires to provide adequate sanitation facilities for the residents of the Denali Borough of Alaska and has determined the Solid Waste Disposal project to be a number one priority for the community, and

WHEREAS, The Department of Environmental Conservation/Village Safe Water Program, hereinafter called VSW, can provide the technical assistance necessary to improve the solid waste problem,

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: that the Assembly hereby requests the Governor and Legislature appropriate $500,000.00 through the VSW Program to assist in the design and building of the Solid Waste Landfill project.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED; that the Assembly hereby authorized VSW or its representatives to enter upon or cross Community Land for the purposes of assisting the Denali Borough in carrying out this Solid Waste Landfill project.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED; that the Assembly will cooperate with the provisions of needed agreements entered into between the Assembly and VSW, and that said provisions will be duly carried out.

I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the Assembly is composed of 9 members of who the Denali Borough constituting a quorum were present and that the foregoing resolution was PASSED AND APPROVED by the Assembly of Denali Borough, Alaska, this November 13th, 1994.
