AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 8 OF THE DENALI BOROUGH CODE OF

ORDINANCES TO DEFINE THE TIME LIMIT AN ITEM CAN REMAIN TABLED

BEFORE IT LAPSES AND IS CONSIDERED A DEAD ISSUE.

 

 

BE IT ENACTED by the Assembly of the Denali Borough, Alaska that:

 

 

 

Section 1.  Classification.

 

            This ordinance is of a general and permanent nature. 

 

 

Section 2.  Chapter 8, Section 11 added.

 

            Chapter 8 of the Denali Borough Code of Ordinances is hereby amended to add the following section:

 

 

Section 11.  "Lay on the Table" time limit defined.  When an item has been tabled by the motion to "Lay on the Table", after 180 days it lapses and becomes a dead issue if it has not been "taken from the table".

 

 

Section 3.  Effective Date.  This ordinance becomes effective upon adoption by the Denali Borough Assembly and signature of the Mayor.
