DENALI BOROUGH, ALASKA

 

RESOLUTION NO. 94-30

 

 

A RESOLUTION TO ENCOURAGE THE DENALI BOROUGH ASSEMBLY, COMMITTEES AND

STAFF TO ACTIVELY PARTICIPATE IN ANY AVAILABLE EDUCATION AND/OR

CONTINUING EDUCATION TRAINING PROGRAMS.

 

 

 

WHEREAS, it is the intention of the Denali Borough Assembly to see that its members and staff are knowledgeable in areas such as parliamentary procedure, Alaska State Constitution, newly elected officials training, Clerk's education, decision making, appropriate public conduct, fiscal management, ordinance and resolution process including writing, passage, and enacting of legislation, etc.; and

 

 

 

WHEREAS, such training is available at no or minimal cost through

Department of Community and Regional Affairs and other various State agencies, the Alaska Municipal League (AML), as well as attending the Annual AML Conference, and Clerk's training institutes;

 

 

 

AND WHEREAS, the Borough Mayor will see that adequate measures will be taken to provide for the funding, if any, of this training.

 

 

 

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED:  that the Denali Borough Assembly requests the Mayor to encourage the appropriate training for Denali Borough Assembly members, Committee members and staff.
