RESOLUTION NO. 04-02

A RESOLUTION OF THE DENALI BOR= OUGH ASSEMBLY SUPPORTING THE PARTICIPATION IN THE DENALI<= /st1:place> COMMISSION MULTI-USE FACILITY RFP.

WHEREAS, the Tri-Valley Volunteer Fire Department wishes to expand their multi-use facil= ity, also known as the Tri-Valley Community Center and Fire Hall located in Heal= y, Alaska, to meet the needs and enhance the delivery of vital community servi= ces for Emergency Medical Service= s and the Tri-Valley Volunteer Fire Department; and

WHEREAS, the Denali Borough Assembly is the applicant for the Denali Commission Multi-use Facility funding grant in the amount of $975,000; and

WHEREAS, the Denali Borough is awaiting the approval of the cost share match contributio= n of $325,000 from the Rasmuson Foundation that will= provide the match for such project; and

WHEREAS, the Denali Borough Mayor as grant administrator, shall perform and fulfill the responsibilities and the duties required by the Denali Commission to fulfill such grant.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED; that <= /b>the Denali Borough Mayor is authorized to execute subsequent amendments to said agreement to provide for adjustments to the project within the scope of services or tasks, based upon the needs of the project.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED; that <= /b>the Denali Borough Mayor is authorized to negotiate and execute any and all documents required for granting and managing funds on behalf of this organization.
