RESOLUTION NO. 94-07

A RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING CHANGES TO HOUSE BILL 305.

WHEREAS, the Denali Borough supports the right for Denali residents to own private property; and

WHEREAS, the Denali Borough is working in other areas of establishing private property.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: The Denali Borough Assembly recommends amending Section 38.14.070(b) to read as follows:

(b) After three years following the purchase of land under this chapter, a person may remove timber, gravel, or other surface materials for any purpose, both private & commercial. [except that if it is for a commercial purpose other than as provided in (a)(1) - (2) of this section, the person shall pay the state a royalty fee equal to 20 percent of the proceeds received from the removal.]
