DENALI BOROUGH,
RESOLUTION NO. 94-24
A RESOLUTION IN FAVOR OF
EXTENDING THE TIME LIMIT FOR COMMENT
ON THE PROPOSED ROUTING OF
GVEA NORTHERN INTERTIE.
WHEREAS, GVEA is proposing to construct a 230 kV
transmission line through the Ferry area; and
WHEREAS, the REA Review Process stipulates that
all affected agencies will have been consulted with prior to the preparation
Alternative Evaluation Study; and
WHEREAS, the Ferry Community Association was
neither notified, nor consulted with, and therefore, had no opportunity to
provide input for the preparation of the Alternative Evaluation Study, as to
the proposed routing, and its environmental, and aesthetic impacts.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: the Denali Borough Assembly hereby requests a
time extension in order that the Ferry Community Association, the Denali
Borough Assembly, and other affected agencies are able to provide GVEA with the
information they need to prepare an adequate Alternative Evaluation Study.
