DENALI BOROUGH, ALASKA

 

RESOLUTION NO. 04-08

 

A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING THE COMMITMENT AND SUPPORT OF THE DENALI BOROUGH TO ACCEPT AN ENCROACHMENT PERMIT TO PLACE    AND MAINTAIN AN INTERPRETIVE KIOSK ON THE KINGFISHER TURNOUT

LOCATED WITHIN THE NENANA CANYON AT KINGFISHER CREEK.

 

WHEREAS, the Denali Borough Assembly supports tourism within the
Denali Borough; and

 

WHEREAS, the Department of Transportation and Public Facilities, Right-of-Way Division, (DOT&PF)has offered the Denali Borough  an encroachment permit and placement of an interpretive kiosk on the Kingfisher Pad located within the Nenana Canyon; and

 

WHEREAS, the kiosk will provide information to tourists about the area for years to come; and

 

WHEREAS, the kiosk will be placed in a strategic location between the George Parks Highway and the pedestrian pathway.

 

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: that the Denali Borough Assembly is committed and supportive of accepting an encroachment permit from DOT&PF.

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED; that the Denali Borough accepts responsibility to maintain the interpretive kiosk located at the Kingfisher Pad.
