AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE III, CHAPTER 20, SECTION 4, OF
THE DENALI BOROUGH CODE OF ORDINANCES TO ADD SUBSECTION C.
BE IT ENACTED by the Assembly of the Denali Borough, Alaska
that:
Section 1.
Classification. This ordinance is of a general and permanent
nature.
Section 2. Purpose.
The purpose of this ordinance is to add sub-section C to Title III,
Chapter 20, Section 4, of the Denali Borough Code of Ordinances. The sub-section reads in its entirety as
follows:
C.
A merchant shall not advertise or hold out or state to the public or to
any guest, directly or indirectly, that the tax or any part thereof imposed by
this ordinance will be assumed or absorbed by the merchant or that it will not
be added to the rent, or that it will be refunded. A merchant shall not assume, absorb or fail to add the tax or any
part thereof to the rent, or refund to the tax or fail to separately state the
tax to the guest.
Section 3. Effective
Date. This ordinance becomes effective upon
adoption of the Denali Borough Assembly and signature of the Mayor.
