AN ORDINANCE REDISTRICTING THE ASSEMBLY BY CHANGING ARTICLE II, SECTION 2.02 OF THE DENALI BOROUGH CHARTER.

IT ENACTED by the Denali Borough, Alaska that:
Section 1. Classification. This ordinance is of a general and permanent
nature.
Section 2. Purpose. The purpose of this ordinance is to amend
Article II, Section 2.02, composition.
The
new section is to be composed as follows:
Composition
The
Assembly elected by the qualified voters of the Denali Borough shall consist of
nine (9) Assembly members. The
districts are composed of the following:
A. District
1 1 seat; A
Kantishna
Cantwell
B. District
2 [4] 5 seats; B, C, D, E,
and I
McKinley Village/Carlo
Creek
Healy
Ferry
C. District
3 [4] 3 seats; F, G, and
H, [and I]
Anderson/Clear
Anderson Highway Area
This
ordinance will go into effect as the existing moved seat becomes vacant.
Section 3. Effective Date This
ordinance becomes effective upon adoption by the
Assembly,
signature of the Mayor, and approval by a majority vote at the next regular or
special election of the Denali Borough.
