ORDINANCE NO. 98-06

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 4, SCHEDULE B (TIPPING FEES) OF THE ORDINANCE 98-02, WHICH ESTABLISHED SOLID WASTES POWERS WITHIN THE DENALI BOROUGH.

BE IT ENACTED by the Assembly of the Denali Borough, Alaska that:

Section 1. Classification.

This ordinance is of a general and permanent nature.

Section 2. The Purpose.

This ordinance is modify the Tipping Fees contained in Schedule B of section 4 of Ordinance 98-02.

Section 3. Schedule B (Tipping Fees)is amended as followed.

The current Schedule B contained within Section 4 of Ordinance 98-02 is hereby deleted and the following Schedule B is inserted.

Schedule B (Tipping Fee)

Compacted MSW, Winter October 1 to May 1.	$10.50 /yard
Compacted MSW, Summer May 2 to September 30.	$15.00 /yard
Un-Compacted MSW and C & D	$7.50 /yard
Pick up load (1 yard)	$10.00 /load
Junk car, Fluids drained, fuel tank and battery removed	$10.00 / each
Junk car, Fluids Not drained, Nor fuel tank and battery removed	$50.00 /each
Freon type Refrigerator or Freezer^1	$20.00 /each
Non-Freon type white waste	$10.00 /each
Other white wastes: Matteresses Tires 12" - 16" Tires 16" and up Bag 55 gallon drum/barrel Ferrous/non-ferrous metals: 1 yd. Pick-up load	$5.00 /each $1.00 /each $5.00 /each $1.00 /each $3.00 /each $15.00 /load

1. Same cost whether Freon system intact or not. (note condition in any case.)

Section 4. Effective Date.

This ordinance becomes effective upon adoption of the Borough Assembly and signature of the Mayor.
