ORDINANCE NO. 92-01

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 5,
SECTION 2
OF THE DENALI BOROUGH CODE OF
ORDINANCES.
BE IT ENACTED by the Assembly of the Denali Borough, Alaska
that:
Section 1.
Classification.
This ordinance is of a general and
permanent nature.
Section 2. Chapter
5, Section 2 amended.
Section 2 of Chapter 5 of the Denali
Borough Code of Ordinances
is hereby amended as follows:
[A.] An Assembly member must meet the qualifications contained in
Title VIII, Chapter 66, Section 10 of this code to serve on
the Denali Borough Assembly.
[B.
No Assembly member may hold any other compensated Denali
Borough office or employment, or elected partisan political
office, while serving on the Assembly, unless otherwise provided by an
ordinance ratified by the voters of the Denali Borough.]
[C.
An Assembly member shall be a resident of the district to which the
member's seat is assigned at the time of the member's election or appointment.]
[D.
An Assembly member who ceases to be a resident of the district to which
the member's seat is assigned forfeits his or her office.]
Section 3. Effective
Date.
This ordinance becomes effective
upon adoption by the Denali Borough Assembly and signature of the Mayor.
